Questour Terms of Service

Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between MetaBe Co., Ltd. (“Company”) operating Questour (https://questour.kr, hereinafter referred to as “Questour”) and users (“Members”) in connection with the use of Questour’s services (“Questour Services”), and set forth all other necessary matters related to membership and service use.


Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

    • “Member” means any user who agrees to these Terms and uses the Services provided by Questour.

    • “Service Agreement” means any and all agreements entered into between Questour and the Member in connection with the use of the Services, including these Terms.

    • “User ID” means a unique combination of letters and numbers assigned by Questour to each Member for identification and access to the Services.

    • “Password” means a combination of letters and numbers set by the Member to verify their identity in connection with the corresponding User ID.

    • “Device” means any personal computer, smartphone, PDA, or other electronic device used to access the Services.

    • “Termination” means the cancellation or dissolution of the Service Agreement by either Questour or the Member.

  2. Any terms not defined in the preceding paragraph shall be governed by applicable laws, service-specific guidelines, or general business practices.


Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective when publicly posted online via the Questour Service and upon the Member’s consent and Questour’s acceptance. Questour may revise these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws and will announce such revisions through the Questour Service.

  2. Members must periodically review the Terms for any changes. Questour shall not be liable for any damages incurred due to a Member’s failure to check for updates.

  3. A Member who does not agree to the revised Terms may request withdrawal (termination of membership).


Article 4 (Matters Not Covered by the Terms)

Questour may establish separate policies or operating principles (“Service Guidelines”) for individual services as needed. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and such Service Guidelines, the Service Guidelines shall prevail.


Chapter 2. Establishment of Service Agreement

Article 5 (Formation of Agreement)

  1. The Service Agreement is established upon the Member’s consent to these Terms and Questour’s approval of the application for service use.

  2. Consent to the Terms is expressed by clicking the “Agree” or equivalent button on the application form.


Article 6 (Application for Use)

  1. Any person wishing to become a Member must provide all required information (User ID, Password, name, contact information, etc.) as requested by Questour.

  2. All Members must register with their real, personal information. Members who provide false or third-party information shall have no rights regarding service use and may be subject to legal penalties.

  3. Questour may verify the information submitted by Members, and Members must cooperate in such verification. Failure to do so may result in rejection or cancellation of membership.

  4. Questour may classify Members by grade and differentiate access, usage frequency, or service menus accordingly.


Article 7 (Protection and Use of Personal Information)

  1. Questour strives to protect Members’ personal information in accordance with relevant laws and its Privacy Policy. However, Questour’s Privacy Policy does not apply to external linked sites. Members are responsible for managing their own credentials, and Questour shall not be liable for damages caused by the Member’s negligence.

  2. Questour may provide personal information to third parties within the scope permitted by law in the following cases:

    • Upon request from investigative or governmental authorities

    • When required for the prevention of illegal activities or fraud

    • When required by applicable law


Article 8 (Approval and Restrictions of Application)

  1. Questour, in principle, approves service use applications in the order received, provided there are no technical or operational impediments.

  2. Questour may withhold approval for applications that:

    • Contain false or third-party information

    • Violate laws or public morals

    • Are made for illegal, commercial, or competitive purposes

    • Are from users previously terminated for violations

  3. Approval may be deferred if system capacity is insufficient or technical difficulties arise.

  4. For minors, Questour may require additional consent or defer approval in accordance with applicable policies.

  5. Questour may revoke approval if any disqualifying conditions are later discovered.


Article 9 (Assignment and Management of User ID)

  1. Questour assigns a User ID according to these Terms.

  2. User IDs cannot be changed except in unavoidable circumstances, in which case re-registration is required.

  3. User IDs and Passwords are the sole responsibility of each Member, and Questour is not liable for any misuse resulting from negligence.

  4. Questour may change or suspend a User ID that is inappropriate, offensive, or misleading, or infringes on the rights of Questour or third parties.


Chapter 3. Obligations of the Parties

Article 10 (Obligations of Questour)

  1. Questour shall make the Services available on the designated start date unless prevented by unavoidable circumstances.

  2. Questour shall promptly repair or restore systems in the event of service interruption.

  3. Questour shall maintain security systems to protect personal information and comply with its Privacy Policy.

  4. Questour shall handle legitimate complaints or requests from Members promptly and inform them of the processing schedule if immediate resolution is not possible.


Article 11 (Obligations of Members)

  1. Members must provide truthful information during registration and updates.

  2. Members shall comply with all relevant laws, these Terms, and Questour’s notices, and shall not engage in conduct that damages Questour’s reputation or harms others.

  3. Members must promptly notify Questour of any changes in their registered information.

  4. Members may not use the Services for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Questour.

  5. Membership rights are non-transferable and may not be assigned, sold, or used as collateral.

  6. Members shall not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of Questour or any third party.


Chapter 4. Use of Services

Article 12 (Service Hours)

  1. Questour operates 24 hours a day, year-round, unless technical or business reasons require temporary suspension.

  2. Questour may suspend Services without prior notice for emergency maintenance or unavoidable causes such as power failure or natural disaster.

  3. Questour may, with prior notice, partially or fully modify or discontinue Services for operational reasons.


Article 13 (Member Content and Postings)

  1. “Content” means any text, image, file, or link posted by a Member through the Services.

  2. Members are solely responsible for any damages or issues resulting from their content.

  3. Questour may remove, edit, or restrict content without prior notice if it:

    • Defames or insults others

    • Violates intellectual property rights

    • Contains obscene, illegal, or offensive material

    • Promotes unauthorized commercial activity

    • Contravenes public order or law

  4. Questour may temporarily block or delete content upon receiving valid claims of infringement until resolution.

  5. If a Member does not request restoration within 30 days of suspension, the content may be permanently deleted.


Article 14 (Copyright)

  1. All copyrights and intellectual property rights in content created by Questour belong to Questour.

  2. Copyright in Member-generated content belongs to the Member. However, Questour may use such content free of charge within reasonable limits for service operation, display, transmission, distribution, or promotion.

  3. Questour must obtain the Member’s prior consent to use content for purposes beyond the scope defined above.

  4. Members must not upload or distribute content that infringes on others’ copyrights or rights of publicity.

  5. Infringing or plagiarized content may result in deletion and legal action.

  6. Upon termination, personal content is deleted except where stored, reposted, or integrated into shared public spaces.


Article 15 (Provision of Information)

Questour may provide Members with information related to service use, new features, promotions, or related services via email, SMS, or other communication channels.


Article 16 (Advertisements and Transactions)

  1. Questour’s Services may include advertisements. By using the Services, Members agree to the display of such advertisements.

  2. Questour shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from interactions or transactions between Members and advertisers.


Chapter 5. Termination and Restriction of Use

Article 17 (Termination)

  1. Members may terminate their Service Agreement at any time through the “Customer Center” menu.

  2. Questour may terminate an account in accordance with its Privacy Policy, after notifying the Member and granting an opportunity for explanation.


Article 18 (Restriction of Service Use)

Questour may restrict or terminate a Member’s use of Services if the Member:

  • Registers false information or impersonates others

  • Posts or distributes obscene, defamatory, or illegal material

  • Harasses or threatens other users

  • Attempts to hack, modify, or disrupt Questour systems

  • Uses service data for unauthorized or commercial purposes

  • Violates applicable laws or these Terms

  • Has not used the Services for more than three months
    Questour may take appropriate measures including suspension, deletion, or legal action.


Chapter 6. Liability and Miscellaneous

Article 19 (Damages)

  1. Questour or Members who intentionally or negligently cause damage to the other party shall be liable for compensation.

  2. Questour is not liable for damages arising from free services unless otherwise required by law.


Article 20 (Disclaimer)

  1. Questour is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, or system failures beyond its control.

  2. Questour is not responsible for damages caused by Member negligence, errors, or unverified information.

  3. Questour is not liable for expected profits, loss of data, or reliability of materials obtained through the Services.

  4. Questour assumes no responsibility for disputes among Members or between Members and third parties arising through the Services.


Article 21 (Notices)

  1. Questour may notify Members via email or electronic notice to the registered address.

  2. For general notices, posting on the website for at least seven (7) days shall be deemed sufficient.


Article 22 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. Any matters not stipulated herein shall be governed by the Telecommunications Business Act and other laws of the Republic of Korea.

  2. Disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
